A passenger ship in Bangladesh caught fire during the early morning of the 24th, causing heavy casualties. The death toll has risen to 38 and about 100 others have been injured. The incident site is located in Chalogarti County, about 200 kilometers south of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
A local official said that the fire occurred at about 3 a.m., and it was preliminarily judged that the engine chamber fire caused the fire, when the ship carried about 1,000 passengers.
The passenger ship has docked, the fire has been extinguished, and the search and rescue are still going on.
