On April 4th, local time, according to Thai media reports, there was an outbreak of COVID-19 in a prison near Malaysia in southern Thailand. 112 people were diagnosed, of whom 23 were prison staff, 88 were prisoners and 1 was a prison doctor. The large prison has a total of 2,334 prisoners and 97 staff members.
At present, the local health department is investigating, and the prison has taken prevention and control measures to prevent the further spread of the epidemic. The confirmed patient with severe condition has been taken to the local hospital for treatment.
