On the 18th local time, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this decision on social media. The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “After reviewing the development of the epidemic in the United States and Mexico, Mexico proposed to the United States to extend the border non-essential travel restrictions for another month.”

Canadian government sources also said that travel restrictions imposed on the border between the United States and Canada will continue for at least another month.

At present, the number of confirmed cases and deaths of Coronavirus in the United States ranks first in the world, and the number of cases in Canada and Mexico continues to rise.
