Comcast stops donating to MPs who voted against Electoral College Vote Certification

by YCPress

January 11, CNN reported that American telecom giant Comcast announced that it would stop making political donations to elected officials who voted against the certification of electoral college votes, “which will give us an opportunity to review our political donation policies and practices”.

Comcast said in a statement to CNN that the riots in the U.S. Capitol were “shocking” and that this year’s power transition “will take place under the most challenging conditions in modern history”.

Comcast said that the company’s focus needs to be “to work together for the benefit of the whole country”.
