April 9 Recently, a 104-year-old woman in Colombia defeated COVID-19 twice in less than a year. She was also escorted by medical staff when she was discharged from the hospital.

According to the British Daily Mail, the old man’s name is Carmen Hernandez. She was diagnosed with COVID-19 and treated in June 2020. In March 2021, Hernandez was again diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

Hernandez has spent 21 days in the intensive care unit (ICU) since he was admitted to the hospital. Eventually, she defeated COVID-19 for the second time in less than a year. A video shows the hospital’s medical staff lined up when she was discharged from the hospital, giving the old man warm applause.

Not only has Hernandez defeated COVID-19 twice, but she has recovered from a skin cancer, says health care worker Gina Gomez. Hernandez was reportedly born on July 14, 1916 in Tonja, Colombia, and her daughter is also around the age of 70.
