The Colombian Health Ministry said on the same day that the first case of Variant novel coronavirus infection was found in Colombia.
The patient is a 24-year-old woman living in Letizia, which borders Brazil.
The virus is consistent with the Variant coronavirus strain found in Brazil.
This follows the announcement by the Colombian government that commercial passenger flights with Brazil have been suspended for 30 days from the 29th to prevent the importation of Variant COVID-19 cases.
