December 11th local time, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a statement on social media saying that due to the increase in hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in New York City, indoor dining in all restaurants in New York City will be banned from December 14, but outdoor dining and takeout will not be affected.

New York State is conducting data analysis of the correlation between in-home dining and COVID-19 cases to determine whether relevant measures are taken outside New York City and in epidemic observation areas marked “orange areas”.
