According to media reports such as Cambodia’s Khmer Times and Cambodian-China Times, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen revealed through social media on the 5th that Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Di Ban has been vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus.
Hun Sen said that the first batch of vaccines assisted by China will arrive in Cambodia on February 7, and the country will carry out coronavirus vaccination at the Ganmi Hospital in Phnom Penh on the morning of February 10.
Hun Sen has said that he will personally receive a Chinese coronavirus vaccine.
According to the report, Cambodian army doctors and medical workers have received relevant training to prepare for vaccination.
Cambodia’s Minister of Health Manbenheng issued a notice on the 4th, authorizing the emergency use of the inactivated coronavirus vaccine of the Chinese National Pharmaceutical Group.
Wang Wentian, Chinese ambassador to Cambodia, said on the 4th that the first batch of vaccines assisted by China will arrive in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on February 7.
