December 29th – TheĀ news that hundreds of Britons avoided isolation and fled from Swiss ski resorts caused heated discussion.
One of the British tourists revealed the details of the escape in an interview with the British media, saying that he arrived at the French border 20 minutes before the quarantine began.
According to the Daily Mail, Andy Wigmore, a former British diplomat and co-founder spokesman of the political group “Detached from the European Union”, was one of the escape from the Swiss ski resort.
He revealed that he was on vacation at the ski resort with his family when he suddenly received a message from the Swiss government and was told that he would be quarantined on December 22.
In order to avoid quarantine, Wigmore took his family to the French border 20 minutes before the quarantine began, and arrived in London from Paris on the 23rd by Eurostar train.
Wigmore revealed that since arriving in the UK, the Swiss government has been sending messages warning him not to leave his room or residence and avoid all contact.
Switzerland also said that if the epidemic prevention regulations are not complied with, they will be fined 8,324 pounds.
After the mutant coronavirus epidemic in the UK, Switzerland announced that all people entering the UK must self-quarantine for 10 days.
However, hundreds of people fled overnight after the Swiss government informed 420 British people who were vacationing at the country’s ski resorts.
According to the Guardian, only 12 British tourists are currently quarantined there.
