September 15th, British Prime Minister Johnson reshuffled his cabinet, dismissing three ministers and appointing several officials.

The three ministers sacked were Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, Housing, Communities and Local Government Secretary Robert Jenrick and Justice Secretary Robert Buckland.

Elizabeth Trass, the former international trade secretary, was appointed foreign secretary. Dominic Raab, the former foreign secretary, was transferred to deputy prime minister, chief justice and justice minister, in what the British media called a “demotion”. Anne-Marie Trivian, the former minister of state for business, took over as international trade secretary.

Michael Gove, the former Cabinet Office minister and Minister for Lancaster County, served as Minister for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Stephen Buckley, the former chief secretary to the Treasury, replaced Michael Gove.

Nadine Doris, the former Minister of State for Health, was promoted to Minister of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Oliver Dowden, the former digital, culture, media and sport secretary, will co-chair the Conservative Party, replacing Amanda Millin, who was sacked on the same day.

Zahawi, the former official in charge of the coronavirus vaccination program, served as education secretary.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement earlier in the day that the Prime Minister will reshuffle his cabinet today to build a strong and united team to rebuild a better future. It is Mr Johnson’s second cabinet reshuffle since winning the December 2019 election.
