Reuters reported on January 18 that Nadhim Zahawi, the British Minister for Vaccine Deployment, said on the 18th that the average number of people in the United Kingdom was vaccinated against the novel coronavirus every minute.
Zahavi told Sky News: “The vaccination campaign is progressing well now.
We now average 140 people per minute to get the first dose of vaccine. That’s the average, so some areas are making better progress.”
Zahavi said that the situation will improve as the authorities open more large vaccination centers.
“There are 17 vaccination centers in the UK by this week, and the number will increase to 50 by the end of this month.”
