British expert: The US slander against Huawei is nothing but a smoke bomb

by YCPress

On the 17th, the Russian TV Today (RT) website published an article by Tom Fowdy, a British author, political and international relations analyst, stating that the US espionage activities against Denmark show that the real threat facing European countries comes from the US.

Foday believes that the recently disclosed news of the United States monitoring Denmark is actually not surprising.

The United States has been secretly monitoring its allies, and the United States has slandered China’s Huawei only to release smoke bombs.

Earlier, Danmarks Radio quoted anonymous sources as reporting that the National Security Agency (NSA) cooperated with the country’s intelligence agencies to monitor the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to collect information about the Danish fighter procurement plan. ,

Let Denmark purchase Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jets.

Foday noticed that although the Danish and Dutch media reported the news, the international English-language media largely ignored the matter. While the espionage scandal was revealed, the United States is actively promoting its “clean network” proposition, requiring European countries to exclude China’s Huawei from the telecommunication network infrastructure.

The United States also slandered Huawei’s equipment as a “spy risk.” But the actual situation is not the case, the “clean network” is not really clean, and the US threat to European countries is much closer.

For commercial reasons, the United States has a long history of using its intelligence cooperation agreement to carry out espionage activities against European countries, especially in the bidding of military-industrial complexes.

However, instead of being worried about this matter, the Western public and media are hysterical about Huawei, a company, although the company’s alleged involvement in “espionage activities” has never been confirmed.

Foday pointed out that American military-industrial complexes, such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Raytheon, exert a disproportionate influence on American politics to maintain their huge profits.

These companies have adopted a variety of strategies to achieve this goal, including funding think tanks, which actively promote offensive and military-led foreign policies, such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

However, this is not all. This discovery from Denmark shows that the US military-industrial complex is also cooperating with US intelligence agencies to promote its own interests and even weaken competitors from US allies.

For example, in 1994, the US “Echelon Program” disrupted a deal between European Airbus and Saudi Arabia, ensuring that Boeing won a $6 billion contract.

Similarly, a few years ago the media disclosed that the National Security Agency (NSA) had been monitoring the German Chancellery for decades. It seems that what happened in Denmark is not new, but part of this trend.

Foday said that although the United States monitors European countries to promote the interests of the military-industrial complex, the US Secretary of State Pompeo supports the “clean network” while claiming that the plan excludes “untrusted suppliers”, thereby promoting privacy And data security. But it is clear that such a network does not exist, because the United States can penetrate at will.

Foday believes that the real reason the United States seeks to exclude Huawei is not for legitimate security reasons, but to maintain its strategic monopoly on the global Internet and network surveillance.

Regardless of whether Huawei is really engaged in “espionage activities” (so far there is no evidence that the company is indeed engaged in “espionage activities”), this company is not under the political control of the United States and its intelligence partners, which has increased US penetration And the difficulty of subverting networks around the world.

Foday believes that the U.S. boycotted Huawei because the rise of this Chinese company posed a challenge to its obvious interests, and Huawei’s growing influence was also linked to the U.S. military-industrial complex and various U.S. Internet surveillance measures (such as ” The Prism plan) conflicted.

Foday bluntly said in the article: Forget China, the United States is the largest, most advanced, and unmatched advocate of global electronic surveillance activities, many of which have been publicly recorded and confirmed.

The United States not only regularly monitors countries that it calls allies, but also tries to undermine the commercial interests of these countries to ensure that the global monopoly and profits of the US military-industrial complex are maintained.

Foday finally wrote that the so-called “clean network” is nothing but Pompeo’s hypocrisy, a packaged lie designed to maintain the status quo in favor of the United States, and a Chinese telecommunications company poses a threat to this status quo. .
