The British Foreign Office released the minutes of the British and Indian Foreign Ministers’ meeting in New Delhi on the 15th.

Britain intends to invite India as a guest country to participate in next year’s G7 summit, while reassuring India that the newly built aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth will visit the Indo-Pacific region for the first time next year.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab visits India during a critical period of Brexit deal negotiations in preparation for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to India in January.

In the past year, some countries in the Asia-Pacific region have continuously given advice to Britain, hoping that Britain will pay attention to rebuilding the “Indo-Pacific Strategy” after Brexit and establish allies with India, Japan, Australia and other countries in the region on multiple platforms.

And Britain is also interested in catering to this strategic plan, hoping to reach a road map for diplomatic relations with India in the next decade and sign a trade agreement between the two countries.

During the visit, the British Foreign Secretary invited India to participate in next year’s Seven Summit as a guest country, promising India that it would cut tariffs on Indian imports and send Britain’s largest new aircraft carrier, Queen Elizabeth, to the Asia-Pacific region.
