As of February 18, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine in Brazil had reached 561,633, accounting for 2.65% of the country’s total population.

At present, due to the shortage of vaccines, vaccination in many capital cities such as Rio de Janeiro, El Salvador, Porto Alegre and Cuyaba has been suspended.

From the 18th, Ceará County imposed a curfew throughout the state, prohibiting citizens from going to the streets from 22:00 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day.

The state also canceled offline classes in all schools that day.

At present, Brazil still ranks second in the world in cumulative deaths, behind the United States.

The cumulative number of confirmed cases and 57,240 deaths in the state of São Paulo, the worst epidemic, reached 1949,459.

In addition, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Minas Gerais, Bahia and Rio de Janeiro exceeded 822,000, 643,000 and 566,000, respectively. The total number of confirmed cases in the federal district where the capital Brasilia is located is also more than 287,000.
