December 17th – On the 16th local time, Brazil’s Minister of Health said that two coronavirus vaccines produced by China and the United Kingdom, respectively, may be put into use in Brazil next February (2021).
According to Reuters, Brazil’s health minister Eduardo Pazuello attended a meeting on the 16th to discuss the coronavirus vaccination plan. After the meeting, he said that the Health Supervision Authority could test vaccine data in Brazil in January 2021.
After analysis, “may start in mid-February, we can receive and register these vaccines to start the (vaccination) plan”.
The report mentioned that the Brazilian federal government has reached an agreement with the British side on vaccines, while the state of São Paulo cooperates with relevant Chinese companies.
