December 7th – On the 6th local time, U.S. Defense Department officials revealed that President-elect Biden’s transition team will begin to receive briefings from Pentagon intelligence agencies on Monday (7th local time).
According to The Hill, a senior U.S. Defense Department official revealed that Biden’s transition team will meet with the U.S. Defense Department intelligence agencies on the 7th and 8.
U.S. media also mentioned that there were earlier reports that the Trump administration was blocking these meetings. However, the U.S. Department of Defense denied it and pointed the finger at “obvious delays in Biden’s transition team”.
Several other officials said that the Biden team did not follow the agreed arrangements when contacting intelligence agencies directly.
