Biden’s administration faces major challenges. Vaccine distribution plans need to start from scratch.

January 22 (CNN) reported on the 21st that sources familiar with Biden’s new administration and pandemic-related work revealed that the Biden administration did not get any vaccine distribution plan from the Trump administration, which posed a major challenge to the new government.

Sources said that although many vaccines have been authorized to use during former President Trump’s tenure, there is still a complete lack of vaccine distribution strategy and has to start from scratch.

As a result, the new government is under great pressure to fulfill Biden’s previous promises to deal with the pandemic and distribute vaccines.

Before Trump left office, the United States had approved the authorization to use two coronavirus vaccines.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of January 20, about 16.5 million doses of vaccines have been vaccinated in the United States, which is far below the Trump administration’s target of “20 million doses by the end of 2020”.

The Biden administration has called for the resignation of some key figures working in the fight against the pandemic and vaccines during Trump’s presidency, including Moncef Slaoui, the chief adviser of the U.S. government’s vaccine program Operation Warp Speed.

Fauci, an American infectious disease expert, was re-initiated as the chief medical adviser to the Biden administration. However, Fauci denied on the 21st that “the Biden administration needs to start from scratch”.

CNN pointed out that it was difficult to obtain important information from the Trump administration before the inauguration of Biden’s transition team, so some of Biden’s pandemic advisers need to avoid public criticism of the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic and vaccines.

Sources said that they were cooperating with the previous government. Now that power has shifted, the Biden administration wants them to have a quick and clear picture of what the country is doing and what the Trump administration does and hasn’t do.
