Most companies with manufacturing operations in China plan to maintain production in China for the next three years. The survey showed that only three companies intend to transfer at least 30% of their manufacturing operations to other countries.

However, not all American companies in China are optimistic. One-third of the interviewees said they were worried that China might ban American companies from leaving China or impose other restrictions on employees of American companies.
