Biden: The U.S. is not seeking an escalation of the U.S.-Russia conflict, but Russia’s actions will have consequences

Speaking at a joint session of Congress on April 28, U.S. President Joe Biden said he had made it clear to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the U.S. is not seeking an escalation, but that Russia’s actions will have consequences.

The U.S. has responded to Russian meddling in the U.S. election and cyber-hacking. Biden noted that the U.S. and Russia can also seek cooperation for the common good of both sides. (
