Biden appoints a new member of the China Strategic Working Group of the U.S. Department of Defense

According to Bloomberg on February 16, U.S. President Biden appointed three new members to the newly established China Strategic Working Group of the U.S. Department of Defense, namely Melanie Hart, Elie Ratner and Elizabeth Rosenberg.

All three of them have made tough speeches against China under Trump.

Among them, Hart has helped oversee the Trump administration’s policy reviews, including the “clean network” program that has forced countries to ban Huawei’s 5G network business; Ratner and Rosenberg, both worked at the New America Security Center, which has repeatedly pointed out that the U.S. faces “challenges from China.”
