According to AFP on February 6, U.S. President Biden quickly launched a campaign in solidarity with overseas LGBTIQ groups, whose rights will be paid more attention than ever before on U.S. foreign policy issues.

Biden further strengthened the expansion of LGBTIQ in the United States, aiming to reverse the decline in LGBTIQ rights during the Trump era.

At the same time, he will also adjust according to the experience of the past 10 years.

Biden said in his first foreign policy speech Thursday that he would ask all U.S. government agencies abroad to upgrade LGBTIQ rights and propose plans within 180 days.

“All people should be treated with respect and dignity, and should be able to live without fear, no matter who they are or who they love,” Biden said in the presidential memo.

Biden intends to significantly increase the number of refugees entering the country and promises to pay more attention to LGBTIQ refugees.

His memorandum pointed out that the United States will also fight against discriminatory laws overseas and build international alliances to combat homophobia and transphobia.

Senior State Department officials said Secretary of State Blinken intends to appoint a special envoy on LGBTIQ issues.
