February 9th local time, the U.S. Department of Justice said that the Biden administration planned to continue to seek the extradition of Assange, the founder of WikiLeaky, from the United Kingdom to the United States.

On January 4, a British court refused to extradite Assange, the founder of WikiLeak, to the United States for trial on the grounds of “preventing suicide risk”.

On February 9th, local time, Mark Reimondi, spokesman of the U.S. Department of Justice, said that the U.S. government will continue to appeal the British judge’s ruling last month.

British judge set February 12 as the deadline for the United States to appeal against Assange’s decision. The United States asked for Assange’s extradition on the grounds that the release of secret documents related to the United States endanger the lives of others.

The British Magistrates has been hearing the extradition case since February 24 last year.
