January 20 – On theĀ eve of the inauguration ceremony of the new president of the United States, Washington, the capital, is on high alert.
On Tuesday (19th) local time, two uniforms were stolen from the car of a U.S. Army member, which alerted law enforcement officials in Washington.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department has issued a “criminal intelligence alert,” according to CNN.
Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Gan Cook said “This is not targeted theft” except that the soldier’s car in a suburb of Washington was broken into by thieves, and the soldier’s mother’s car was also broken into.
The soldier’s army uniform happened to be in an unlocked suitcase in his car.
At present, the name of the soldier has not been confirmed, and whether the soldier has participated in the security of the U.S. Capitol.
Cook said the matter had been communicated to Maryland Intelligence Fusion Center and Anne Arundel County intelligence personnel and that an investigation was being investigated.
