The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain and Kuwait issued statements on the morning of the 27th local time, expressing support for the statement of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the investigation report of the Khashoggi case earlier that day.
In a statement, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry expressed its opposition to all things that may affect the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “play an important role at the international level under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed”.
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait supported the relevant statements of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and also expressed support for Saudi Arabia’s tireless efforts to promote the fight against violence and extremism and achieve security and stability in the region.
On February 26th, local time, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released an investigation report on the murder of Khashoggi, saying that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed approved the “capture or killing” of Khashoggi in 2018.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry subsequently issued a statement calling the U.S. report on the Khashoggi case “false and unacceptable”.
