Azerbaijan’s armed forces will hold large-scale military exercises from May 16 to 20, according to a news release from the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan on The 12th May 2021.
According to reports, the exercise will be 15,000 troops to participate, while there are 50 fighter jets and helicopters, 300 tanks and armored vehicles, 400 artillery and various calibre missile systems to participate in the exercise. This exercise will be conducted in real-life shooting and strike scheduled imaginary targets and other subjects exercise.
Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said the main purpose of the exercise is to conduct command and management, combat readiness inspection and missile and artillery units, aviation and special forces in the coordination of combat inspection. At the same time, there will be practical exercises to eliminate illegal armed forces and terrorists.
