According to the Russian satellite news agency on December 21, Azerbaijan’s draft state budget for 2021 shows that the authorities intend to allocate 2.2 billion Manat (about 1.3 billion US dollars) to rebuild the country-controlled region in the Nagorno-Karabakh.

The above-mentioned draft budget states that “to rebuild cities and villages and build modern infrastructure in these areas, 2.2 billion Manat is planned from the 2021 state budget.”

The leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan had previously signed a joint statement on a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the statement, the comprehensive ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh should enter into force on November 10, and the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides should stop in their respective positions and exchange prisoners of war.

The three parties also agreed to deploy Russian peacekeepers in the Nagorno-Karabakh.
