Austria extends the lockdown until January 24

by YCPress

Austria has extended the lockdown until January 24 and restaurants and non-essential stores will not be able to open, according to Reuters on January 4, citing the Austrian news agency APA.

The APA quoted Austrian Health Minister Rudolf Anschober as saying the decision came after the Austrian opposition blocked a draft law that would have allowed anyone who tested negative for the coronavirus to lift the lockdown a week earlier.
