At least seven people died in a mine explosion in southwest Niger

According to the Niger News Agency, quoting local officials, the vehicle used by the staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission of Niger triggered mines in the Dalgor area of Tiraberg province on the same day, killing at least seven people and seriously injuring three people.

Niger’s security services have not yet responded to this incident.

Tiraberg Province is located in the southwest of Niger on the border with Mali and Burkina Faso.

In recent years, extremist organizations and terrorist organizations associated with the extremist organization Islamic State have frequently launched attacks in this area, causing a large number of casualties.
