August 19 2021 at least five people were killed and five others injured in shootings and explosions in Yangon, Mandalay, Irrawaddy, Kachin and Shan states in Myanmar.
In recent months, shootings and bombings have been frequent throughout Myanmar, becoming more frequent since mid-August, and the targeting has gradually expanded from former military police, grass-roots officials and political parties to the general population.
