Nursultan, May 12 2021 Dushanbe news: Tajikistan’s Emergency And Civil Defense Commission IssueD A Message On The 12th, Said That The Southwestern State Of KhaTlon Days Of Heavy Rain Triggered MudslideS, Resulting In At Least 8 DeathS.

Mudslides have affected many parts of The state of Hartung, damaging homes, farmland, bridges and highways, according to the commission. Some people were killed when the mudslide occurred.

President Rahmon has ordered the creation of a government commission headed by the prime minister to take charge of the aftermath of the disaster.

Staff from various departments, including the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Transport, the Emergency and Civil Defence Commission, are conducting emergency relief and damage assessments at the scene.

Sources said that the disaster weather will continue until the 14th, during which there is still the possibility of mudslides and other disasters.
