According to the information provided by various regions of Spain, as of January 5, 2021 local time, at least 50 cases of mutant COVID-19 infection previously announced by the British government have been confirmed nationwide
Covering seven regions of the country, and at least 100 suspected cases of mutant virus infection are in the process of Research confirmation stage.
Among them, as of January 5, Madrid and Andalusia have confirmed 16 confirmed cases of mutant virus infection, 6 cases have been confirmed in Basque, 5 cases in Valencia, 4 cases in Cantabria, 2 cases in Asturias and 1 case in Galicia.
In addition, several suspected cases are being confirmed in the two regions of Extremadura and Canary.
