Highland Governor Simon Lalon said in a statement on the 25th, security forces have arrested 10 suspects involved in the attack, is hunting for other people at large. In order to restore order on the ground and facilitate the operation of the security forces, the State Government decided to start the day in the incident area to implement a curfew.
In recent months, there have been a number of armed attacks in Nigeria, resulting in a large number of casualties or abductions. On 14 August, 22 people were killed and 14 injured when five vehicles carrying dozens of religious believers were attacked by armed men on a road near Jos.
