In the early morning of April 10 local time, at least 10 police officers were killed when Naungmon police posts in Laxu District, Shan State, Myanmar, were attacked by ethnic local armed groups (DMOF).
According to Reuters, a coalition of three local Wurakhine, De’ang and Kokang Allies in northern Myanmar launched an attack on the post on the Mandalay-Laxu Highway at 5:00 a.m. on the 10th. The building of the post burned down, killing at least 10 police officers and injuring many police families.
According to the Myanmar media New Era, after the attack, three IDF helicopters were launched and hovered over Naumong. In the urban area of Laxu, the police blocked two main roads, strengthened patrol inspection, and investigated passing vehicles at important traffic rings and intersections.
