Toronto, November 2. A 29-year-old Asian soldier of the Canadian military died of injuries during a live ammunition training.
The Canadian Ministry of Defense confirmed his identity on November 1.
The corporal named James Choi belonged to the Legion of New Westminster, British Columbia.
He enlisted in the army in 2016. At the time of the incident, he was participating in an autumn training mission focusing on the core skills of light infantry in Wainwright, Alberta.
The accident happened at about 10 pm on October 30.
After receiving on-site treatment, Cai was rushed to a nearby hospital and then airlifted to a hospital in Edmonton, the capital of
Alberta, but was still pronounced dead on the morning of October 31.

Harjit Sajjan expressed their condolences to him on social networking platforms.
The shooting training on site at the time of the incident has been suspended.
