On August 11 this year, a resident found a live killer bumblebee in a rural area east of Brian in Watercombe County, Washington, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported. When it was discovered, it was attacking the nests of ordinary bees.
It is reported that Asian bumblebees are an invasive species in the United States, compared with the average bee, killer bees are larger, close to 5 cm, can fly at a speed of 32 kilometers per hour, a small group of Asian bumblebees can kill the entire hive bee in a few hours. Sometimes, these killer bees can also attack humans, and their toxicity is comparable to that of some poisonous snakes.
Bumblebees, wasps and bees kill an average of 62 people a year in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Disease Control.
