February 19th local time, United Nations Secretary-General Guterres expressed concern about the armed conflict in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

In a statement issued by his deputy spokesman Haq, the Secretary-General called for restraint and calm, and also urged the leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia and the member states of the Federation to reach a political agreement on the way forward for the national elections as soon as possible.
