February 15 – Kinshasa news: The Democratic Republic of the Congo military announced on the 14th that a village in the northeast of the country was attacked by the Ugandan anti-government armed “Allied Forces for Democracy” on the same day, and the government forces exchanged fire with it, killing at least 18 people.

Ituri provincial army dialect Jule Ngongo told the media that the “Allied for Democracy” killed at least 11 civilians and 3 government soldiers in the attack, while the government army killed four attackers and arrested several people in the exchange of fire.

At present, the military is searching for attackers who fled into the jungle.

In the late 1990s, after the Ugandan “Allied Forces for Democracy” was defeated by the Ukrainian government, it fled to the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and has been around since.

In addition to anti-Uganda government activities, the Allied Democratic Forces often attack the Democratic Army, the population and the United Nations peacekeeping force.
