December 8th at the meeting of the Argentine Parliament, Senator Norma Durangue proposed to print the image of the late star Maradona on the paper money, one side of his portrait and the other side may be the classic “Hand of God”.

According to Reuters on the 7th, Durange proposed that the government issue a 1,000-pesos note with the image of Maradona.

His classic goals “Hand of God” and “Five in a row” may be alternative patterns, but some Argentines believe that the “Hand of God” on the official currency will have a negative impact.

Durangue said that the final decision will be left to the members of parliament. “This proposal is not only a tribute to an important idol, but also brings economic benefits. Tourists to Argentina should want to bring Maradona with them in this way.”

On the current 1000 pesos note in Argentina, it is printed with the national bird – the brown stove bird.
