Argentina makes final anti-dumping ruling against Chinese household electric ovens

China Trade Relief Information Network on December 11, 2020, the Argentine Ministry of Production and Development issued Announcement No. 706 of 2020 in the Official Gazette of Argentina on December 10, 2020, making a non-embedded household electric oven with a capacity greater than or equal to 18 litres but not more than 60 litres originating in China.

The definitive anti-dumping final ruling is to impose an anti-dumping duty of $10.37 per piece on products with a capacity greater than or equal to 18 litres but not exceeding 36 litres, and an anti-dumping duty of $11.64 per piece on products with a capacity greater than or equal to 37 litres but not exceeding 60 litres.

This case involves products under the MERCOSUR customs code 8516.60.00. The announcement shall take effect from the date of promulgation and shall be valid for five years.

On June 12, 2019, the former Ministry of Production and Labor of Argentina issued Notice No. 64 of 2019, in response to the Argentine enterprise AXEL S.A. , decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against non-embedded household electric ovens originating in China.

On November 6, 2019, the former Ministry of Production and Labor of Argentina issued Notice No. 151 of 2019, making a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on the products involved in the case originating in China, continuing the anti-dumping investigation, and not imposing provisional anti-dumping duties.
