another riot broke out in a prison in the capital of the Philippines, killing 3 people and wounding 64 others.
On November 9th local time, the Corrections Bureau of the Department of Justice of the Philippines announced that there was another riot in the New Billy Peter Prison on the outskirts of the capital Manila on the 9th, causing 3 deaths and 64 injuries.
After the riots, the prison administration immediately took action and deployed multiple police teams to quell the riots.
Philippine Minister of Justice Menado Guevara said that he has requested the Bureau of
Corrections to submit a detailed report, and the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation has also launched an investigation into the matter.
Previously, there was a riot in the prison on October 9, when 9 prisoners died in the fight and 7 others were injured.
New Billy Peter Prison currently holds approximately 18,000 prisoners, including serious prisoners.
