An unexploded bomb was found at a construction site in Hanoi, Vietnam, which was cleared overnight
November 28 the People’s Committee of Bating County, Hanoi City, Vietnam, said that an unexploded bomb had been found at a construction site at 15 Beimen Road, Hanoi City (located in Zhujifang, Bating County).
Late at night on the 29th, the Bating County People’s Committee urgently evacuated people within a radius of 200 meters to clear the unexploded bomb. At present, the unexploded bomb has been cleared, and traffic has returned to normal at the press release site.
It is reported that the unexploded projectile is 125 cm long, 40 cm in diameter and weighs 340 kg. At present, Vietnam has not officially announced the source of this unexploded bomb.
Two unexploded bombs were found in Quang Ning and Quang Ji provinces in north-central Vietnam in April and August 2020. The Vietnamese government has issued Resolution No. 18 in 2020 on the management and implementation of activities to overcome the consequences of post-war explosive remnants.
Accordingly, victims of post-war explosive remnants received assistance from the Vietnamese government in recovery, vocational training, employment and social security.
