January 9th local time, a Boeing 737-500 of Indonesian Sanfoqi Airlines lost contact shortly after taking off from the capital Jakarta.

Later, it was found to crash in the waters off Jakarta.

Radars showed that the plane had plummeted 10,000 feet a minute before the connection.

Indonesian Transport Minister Budi revealed at a press conference on the same day that the wrecked plane did not fly according to the set course after take-off.

Indonesian Transport Minister Budi: Air traffic control personnel found that the plane’s heading was not 75 degrees (northeast), but northwest.

Airport air traffic control personnel asked the pilot to confirm the course, but soon after, a few seconds, the plane disappeared from the radar.

Another Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency officials said that the crashed plane did not send any signal until it crashed.
