November 13 a few days ago, a cemetery in the coastal city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia was attacked and at least two people were injured. After the incident, the extremist organization “Islamic State” claimed responsibility. On the 12th local time, the Saudi Crown Prince stated that he would use “iron fist” means to combat extremists.

According to reports, on the 11th local time, a cemetery in Jeddah, the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, was hit by a bomb during a ceremony to commemorate the end of World War I, injuring a Greek policeman and a Saudi official. It is said that diplomats from France, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States attended the commemoration ceremony.

On the 12th local time, the extremist organization “Islamic State” claimed responsibility for the incident, saying that the attack “mainly targeted the French consulate.” However, the organization did not provide relevant evidence.

On the same day, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman issued a statement warning that those who attempt to commit extremist actions will be subject to “painful and severe punishment.” He said, “We will continue to use iron-fisted means to strike all those who want to endanger our security and stability.”

It is also reported that on the 12th local time, a shooting incident occurred at the Saudi Embassy in The Hague. No one was injured. A man was arrested by the Dutch police. After that, the Saudi government condemned the shooting as a “cowardly act.” At present, it is not clear whether this incident is related to the attack in Saudi Arabia.
