On the evening of December 11, local time, an explosion occurred in a residential area of La Vanusa, Agrizhento Province, Sicily, Italy, killing 4 people.
According to Ansa, Italy, the explosion caused 3 buildings to collapse, 2 of whom were rescued and sent to hospital for treatment. As of the morning of the 12th local time, rescue teams were still searching for other missing people on the spot. According to preliminary investigation, the cause of the explosion may be the breakdown of the natural gas pipeline.
