December 3rd – Comprehensive Sky News Network, Australian News on the 3rd, Australia’s New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazard said that a female staff member of a quarantine hotel in Sydney was diagnosed with the virus, the first case in the state for 25 consecutive days.

The woman reportedly worked at two hotels, Ibis and Novotel, where local health officials asked staff to be aware of symptoms and self-isolate. The confirmed patient was likely to have taken a vehicle during the infection.

Hazard said that he was tracking the source of the virus and close contacts. Despite new cases, the state is unlikely to delay easing restrictions.
