According to Sputnik news agencies, on February 13 local time, an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred in Armenia, with a focal depth of 2 kilometers and 12 kilometers from the capital Yerevan.

Many residents in the high-rise buildings in Yerevan city took to the streets to avoid danger.

As of press time, the earthquake caused minor damage to individual houses, and Armenian officials had not announced whether there were casualties.
