February 8th, local time, the African Union Mission in Somalia announced that on February 5, a helicopter of the mission crashed shortly after take-off; four peacekeepers in service were injured and the helicopter crashed into Lower Shabelle region of Somalia.
Preliminary investigation reports indicate that the helicopter crashed due to mechanical failure, and further investigation is under way.
