February 8th – ABC and The Independent reported on the 8th that a family in Genesee County, Michigan, fired a salute in the backyard to celebrate the birth of the baby.

The explosive shrapnel hit a 26-year-old man who came to participate in the celebration. The man died later.

The accident happened at about 7:30 p.m. local time. The owner fired a salute in the backyard at the time of the accident, and the victim was only 10-15 feet away from the salute at the time of the explosion.

Immediately after being hit by shrapnel, he was sent to hospital, but it was too late. Splashed shrapnel also hit three nearby cars and garages, where the baby’s baptism ceremony was held.

U.S. media said: “The owner specially bought cannons from the auction for this event. This gun has been fired many times before.

Cannons can make huge flashes, loud sounds and smoke.” Police said that there were no bullets in the cannon, but they suspected that it was loaded with gunpowder, causing the cannon to break.

At present, the police have not filed charges, and investigators are investigating on the scene how a celebration turned into a murder.
