January 18th – U.S. media revealed on the 17th that on the day of the congressional riots, a woman suspected to have stolen Pelosi’s laptop and planned to sell it to Russia.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intervened in the investigation.

According to the U.S. political news network, the accusation appeared in a testimony describing that Pennsylvania woman Riley June Williams was monitored near Pelosi’s office during the Capitol riots on January 6.

The FBI is collecting evidence related to the case and says the case is still under investigation.

It is not clear whether the FBI arrested the woman, but according to testimonies, Williams may have fled.

Harrisburg local law enforcement officials quoted Williams’ mother as revealing that Williams had packed his bags and left home and told his mother that she would leave for several weeks, but did not specify the destination.

In addition, the testimony also mentioned that an eyewitness said that he had seen a video of Williams leaving Pelosi’s office with a computer, and said that Williams was interested in selling the computer to a friend in Russia, who planned to sell the equipment to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency (SVR).

However, witnesses said that the plan failed for unknown reasons, but Williams still held equipment or had destroyed it.

The case is still inconclusive.

According to the U.S. media, Pelosi’s assistant did not respond, and it is not clear whether the laptop was really stolen.
