November 16th. With more than 11 million confirmed cases of Coronavirus in United States, many hospitals have been overcrowded and have reached the maximum capacity they can carry.
A nurse in Texas recently recounted the terrible situation she saw in the hospital, saying that some of the most serious patients with COVID-19 would even be sent to a special room “waiting to die.”
According to a report by the New York Post on the 16th, the registered nurse is named Ravens. She posted a video on social media talking about her work at the University of El Paso Medical Center.
The nurse also broke the news that there is a room called “The Pit” in the hospital. The worst-case COVID-19 patients will be sent here to “wait to die”.
They can only get very little treatment and Limited recovery efforts.
Revens said that due to the large number of patients in the hospital, she and other nurses were instructed to perform only 3 rounds of CPR before the deceased was declared dead, which was a significant reduction in the amount of normal work required to keep the patient alive.
“I saw a lot of people die, I think they shouldn’t have passed away,” she said. In the video, Revens also accused the hospital of not being aggressive enough to treat patients with Coronavirus, and even some doctors would avoid treating those infected with Coronavirus.
Regarding Revens’s voice, the University of El Paso Medical Center told the local television station that although they felt sympathy for the experience of medical professionals, they “cannot fully verify what they mentioned.”
El Paso is one of the most severely affected cities in Texas, and last week, Texas became the first state in the United States with more than one million confirmed cases.
